The unthinkable has happened. The dead are returning to life. Ed Mann fled his California college campus with a small group of survivors and they were headed east when they ran into soldiers who offered them food and shelter at the nearby Hoover Dam. Everything seemed on the level initially, but the group is starting to figure out that these men might have something more sinister in mind for them.
Ed Mann- Ed was a student at UCLA when the outbreak started. He escaped with a handful of other survivors, but there were casualties along the way. All he wants is to get back to New York to search for his family. Shy and rather timid, Ed was barely surviving before the zombie apocalypse. Now he’s trying to figure out his place in this nightmarish new world.
Alyssa St. Claire- The badass warrior of the group. Alyssa has saved Ed’s life on numerous occasions, but she’s a woman of few words. Her motives for sticking with them are unknown and her mysterious past often makes Ed nervous. Allies are in short supply, though and there’s no question that Alyssa is the only reason any of them have made it this far.
Bill Banks- Bill and his son Colin were on their way home from a hunting trip when throngs of the walking dead began to appear. They helped Ed and the others get out of L.A., but not long after Colin was killed. Bill was the moral center of the group, but the agony of losing his son has changed him. Alyssa understands he’s in pain, but she’s keeping a close eye on him.
Jacob Moore- Jacob was picked up by the others as they were leaving California. His main concern is the safety and well-being of his daughter. Everything else pales in comparison. Sometimes he feels like they’re a burden on everyone else, but he knows they can’t go off on their own.
Emily Moore- Jacob’s ten-year-old daughter. She hasn’t opened up much to anyone other than her dad. She’s still trying to come to terms with the death of her mother and everything else she’s seen in the past few months.
